Fiction for Techies

I’m on the hunt for a good read. I generally never read fiction. I’m funny, it just seems like a waste of time to read a story that isn’t even true. I have a strange brain.

Lately I have been more interested in fiction, or at least stories.

I tend to only read how-to books. It seems like a waste of time to me to sit and read a book unless I am learning something in the process.

But lately I’m more interested in books like fiction, autobiography, etc.

But it’s easier to swallow if there’s even a little bit of tech mixed in, to keep it interesting for me.

Got any suggestions?

I just finished “Why Girls Are Weird” which was actually fiction, but since it revolved around a girl and her blog, it had that element of tech which keeps me interested.

A couple years ago I picked up “E” which is a novel in the form of a series of emails. I got bored with it and never got past the first few pages. But I may try to read it again.

It’s books like that, that I’m looking for. Fiction, true stories, but stories, with a techie element.

I did a google search for “fiction for techies” and came up w/ only one thing.
I did a search on slashdot for “book” but didn’t really see much.

I’m surprised these kinds of books aren’t easier to come by.
