This damn cold bug is from hell. 2-3 days of feeling well enough to even go
to the gym, now bronchitis-like coughing, slept all day, bad BAD phlegm
issues, I’ll spare u the details. Yesterday was an anniversary for M and
I. How did we top it off? A sexy hot (not) ritual of M rubbing Vic’s
Vapor Rub all over my chest at bedtime. (!) Hot hot hot! (cough cough
cough!) Not, not, …not.

I sent an entry in via email, typed on my clie, sent thru my cell phone via bluetooth, through AT&T wireless, like, 45 minutes ago, and it’s not shown up yet. I wonder if it ever will show up. Geez.

I was gonna say something else, but I forgot already.

UPDATE: It’s interesting to me that the mobile blog entry showed when THIS post caused a rebuild. Hmm. Never had problems before. Also, the “rebuilding entry” screen got hung up for several minutes, which isn’t normal either. Huh.

My twisted better half is newly obsessed w/ Haiku’s. M put a haiku in my anniversary card. M had a few gmail invites to give away, so on a Fark thred, M asked people to beg for invites by writing haiku’s. Sick. Just sick. Haiku’s over chardonnay. Haiku’s at home while I’m trying to read. I’m going to scream!

Not much to say today. Haven’t downloaded any new pix from the camera yet. My cold seems to be coming BACK! (!) This sux.

Today is an anniversary for M and me.

Piano lessons tonite, then a nice dinner.

I overslept today, this damn bug I have is killing me. I didn’t get to the gym. All I could do was get to the drugstore for more cold medicine.

I just want to go to bed.

It’s frightening the sheer amount of time I can spend sitting in front of the internet in a 24 hour period! SCARY!

I find that doing weights in the morning gives me more energy throughout the day. Anyone else find that?

So I joined Orkut a while ago. I don’t have many friends there. I need to make more Orkut friends. Want to be my Orkut friend? I have no rule like “you must be a friend in real life”. That makes no sense to me. I mean, I joined Orkut to MAKE friends. I don’t want to email out invites to real-life friends because I don’t want to use my main, private pop email account for orkut, and my real life friends will be confused if I send out email invites w/ one of my spamex email addresses. I can’t believe how UN-net-savvy some of my RL friends are.

In fact, I CONTINUE to get virus-generated junk mail from some unknown asshole who has me in their addresss book. I am SO mad. I either have to continue to sort thru the junk, or I’ll have to change my email address: this after buying my own domain so that I could have the email addy that I WANTED and so that I’d NEVER have to change it again. Ever. Not.

Backyard photoblog updated.

I swear. Every time I add a photo to this or my other photoblog, the damn thing shifts somehow. It’s supposed to show 5 thumbnails along the top or bottom. But I’ll add a photo (same size each time) and the damn thing will render it 4 over 1, instead of 5 in a row. I try widening the table, no luck. This is driving me NUTS! EVERY time I add a photo/entry, it f*cks up!

Also, now that I’ve upgraded to Mozilla 1.7, it renders a horizontal bar that wasn’t there before. Geez!

Gym two days in a row, yay.

Hot out.

Brought two cams w/ me today but had bad BAD digestive problems and had to come straight home without doing any photograhpy.

My new “2004 Stanley Cup Champoins Tampa Bay Lightning” t-shirt came yesterday.

Still addicted to Scrabble. Still suck at it. It’s amazing the more people you mention it to, the more people come out of the woodword as fellow addicts.
Reading twelve books at once as usual, but mostly reading “Word Freak: Heartbreak, Triumph, Genius, and Obsession in the World of Competitive Scrabble Players ”

Still sneezing, still dealing w/ runny nose. Now M has the cold too. I’m mostly over it, but still dealing w/ sinus issues. Worst part of this bug is it TOTALLY saps your energy. Doing weights at the gym is helping get my energy back.

Want to take road trip, to get a change of scene, to go photo-ing in a different area. I’d like to go to Gainesville, haven’t been there in a while. Show M the UofF campus, go to some parks w/ the camera, etc.

I like presents.

I am very upset over what our government is doing around the world. I don’t blame the world for hating us. But I don’t agree w/ what is going on either, so don’t hate ME, although I know that just because I am an American, I am hated. I wanted to travel to Europe this year, but I’m sure that if I do now, I’ll feel the hate.

Camera: Panasonic Lumix FZ1

A new entry has been added to my “My Backyard” photoblog.

I have added a new entry to the laserblog/photoblog. It’s for this week’s Photo Friday photography challenge, which is “Fashion”.

Oh my god. I feel like I’m going to die. IT IS SO F*CKING HOT OUT! Temperture in the 90′s, hummidity is god-knows-what, sweating like a freaking PIG. Ok, news at noon said humidity was 56%, but it feels like 99%. They also said that w/ the humidity, it “feels like 96″. F*ck that, it feels like 110. If I forget sunscreen (as I did yesterday) I can bear the heat better, but later on my skin is red and hot and let’s not even TALK about skin cancer. But if I DO wear sunscreen, I’m 3 times as hot as if I didn’t have it on. You need sweatproof or you might as well not wear any at all cuz it’ll sweat off before you even get in your car. But the sweatproof stuff acts like a saran-wrap coating on a hot summer’s day in Florida. I’ve GOT to get out of the south!

Re. my entry re. Gmail, I need a Gmail invite: I’ll trade for an Orkut invite (an invite-only site similar to Friendster). I’ll trade an Orkut invite for a Gmail invite. (Don’t know what else I have to offer.)

Ok. I got a new camera. Another one to add to my arsenal. My D60 (digital SLR) is not allowed into NHL hockey games. ‘Cameras with detachable lenses are not allowed’. So I wanted a fixed-lens camera w/ a powerful optical zoom (digital zoom SUCKS). So I went for the Panasonic Lumix FZ1 w/ 12x optical zoom.

Holy shit. This is why I never liked the idea of my blog being based at a website, i.e. blogger, manilla, livejournal… because you never really know when the person/business who runs it decides to just shut it down. I understand he may not be able to afford it, fine, but he doesn’t have to be such a dick about it.
