I think the dizziness/vertigo is all gone. But I’m just so tired. I feel a little bit weak, like I worked out really hard using weights yesterday, especially my legs… but I didn’t. So tired.
My dizziness (or “vertigo” as the dr. called it) is much better today. Then M and I laid down for a nap at 3:30 and he slept till 7pm and I slept till 8! Now he’s sniffling and has a tingling in his nose like he gets before a cold. I don’t think I moved at ALL during my long nap and now my back hurts. I’m a mess.
Still sick. Woke up still extremely dizzy. Went to walk-in clinic and they said it was ‘benign directional vertigo’ and that it’s not viral cuz I don’t have a fever… but the nurse said that I did have a fever so who knows. They gave me something for the vertigo and said to take it easy for 2-3 days. I felt alot better in the afternoon from being so still for hours waiting at the clinic. Then we went to lunch, got the perscription filled, and now I’m back to living on the couch watching Tivo. *sigh* The room is spinning, the world is spinning.
The hurricane is crossing the state much farther south than expected, and so the wind and rain will be hitting our area much later. Thing is, since it crossed a narrower section of Fl., it’ll hit the Gulf sooner in time to strengthen before it dies off. So it could strengthen and then head north, sending more powerful feeder bands over our area. I don’t expect anything too bad, it’s just that this (new!) house leaks in normal rain!

I’ve been wanting one of those 2 megapixel camera phones, now I want one even more!
Well M. told me this morning that Jim Cantore is in South Beach. Whenever Jim Cantore flies to a town, you know it’s going to be destroyed by a hurricane. BUT, apparently Jim Cantore said that the “inland” areas are going to get it worse. We are pretty much straight across the state from there. Great. No wind to worry about I don’t think w/ this storm, but w/ a leaky house, “a lot of rain” is just as scary.
“Running Google Talk in Trillian Pro 3 in 7 easy steps”:
I did it, it works great:
www.jurassicpunk.com/tips_google_talk_in_trillian.php
I like Trillian because I can connect to multiple IM networks at once: aim, yim, msn, icq, google.
UPDATE: SCREENSHOT -
GOOGLE has released their instant messenger. I am using it and it works great. Also, you can use Trillian Pro to connect to that network, I tried it, it works great, I’m using it now. Look me up:

Another hurricane is coming. Or is it Tropical Storm? Who knows. Either way, it’ll hit the other coast first, so wind is not an issue, but localized flodding will be, and with a leaky house, water intrusion is the real issue; leaky walls, leaky windows, leaky roof. *sigh* I want to move to Toronto. I want to move to Toronto. I want to move to Toronto.
It’s gonna be another one of those nights. M has to go in to work at like 4am which means he’ll be going to bed super mega early, which means that I’ll be up, bored, lonely. Want to chat w/ me on IM tonight? Keep me company, look me up. I’ll be on IM if I’m not reading or watching tv… and I’ll probably be alternatly reading, watching tv, and sitting on the computer. This sux. They don’t pay him enough to constanly be going in at 4am, 2am, 6am, working late, being on call 24/7, going 3 years without a raise. This is bullshit.

Tonight I watched a show on TLC called “The boy whose skin fell off” and I think I cried through the whole thing.
I felt so bad for him, his pain. But about a fourth of the way thru I realized it reminded me of my brother. He died a year ago January, too young, of Lymphoma, and it was so advanced, he had sores and bandages and the bandages stuck to his skin and he was in such pain and some sores looked green and I saw all that on this show.
Nobody should ever have to go through that.
I cried worse when the show was over.

I made a sad discovery today, the back door of my new car is not metal, so magnets won’t stick to it.
I like to put magnets on the back of my car since my mood changes from day to day and since I don’t like to ruin the paint of my car. (Even magnets will ruin the paint if you leave them in one place long enough, especially down here where it’s so damned hot.)
So I have my favorite ribbon magnet and was all set to put a series of emblem fish on, but now I can’t.
I don’t want to stick them on permanently.
I’ll have to come up w/ some solution.
We went to Miami and back today. Check moblog for road trip pix.
Home Safe.
Drove to Miami and back on 4 hours sleep (3 for M). He napped in the car on the way over, I napped in the car on the way home.
We got the car detailed and some minor scratches fixed (we finalized the deal after the dealership closed the other night).
See moblog for pix from our day trip.
This car is WAY fun. Fun to drive, nice and new.
CALL FOR HELP is returning to the US on G4!
Up at 5:30, 4 hrs sleep for me…
… 3 hrs sleep for M cuz he got paged at 1:30- to go back to Miami to the dealership to get car detailed and some stuff fixed.
Two pix of the dashboard, showing how it’s all in one, making it hard for car stereo adapter / install kit makers to come up w/ a solution:
(Note that it is 97 freaking degrees at almost 7pm!)
After I went to bed last night I couldn’t sleep and laid awake for an hour. It’s like I was too tired to sleep! After sleeping half of today away, I feel like there are weights on my head, arms and legs, my eyes are puffy and I can’t wake up, even with coffee.
Trying to find an ipod solution for this car. The first thing I did yesterday morning was go to my trusty car audio place. When the guy saw the dashboard he was surprised at how it’s all in one, the whole dashboard is like one piece. He went to his book of… what are they called, adapters? mounting kits? and saw nothing for the ‘05 outback wagon. So then he called his supplier and they told him that they had nothing yet but were currently working of making one for the ‘05 Outback but couldn’t give me an ETA. So it looks like somday “soon” there’ll be a way to put in an upgraded stereo. So I guess I’ll just call the guy every month! In the meantime I have to use the fm transmitter which sounds like complete and total shit on a stick.
4 hours sleep. Miami and back last night, road daze.
Tired.
Just almost choked to f*cking death on a sleeping pill. Think that’s a sign?
