Home. Safe. Tired. We decided to drive STRAIGHT THRU this time, no hotel stops. 29 hours with only potty/food breaks. Very tired. On adrenaline now. Will probably nap then stay up late then sleep all day tomorrow. (It’s now Saturday nite.)

The Pug is great. Because the vet is closed, we don’t get to pick up The Eskie and The Turk until Monday. The Tabby was glad to see me when I got home, she drooled ALL over me.

I’m moving the domain to new registrars and hosting, so this site may be down for a few days. Just fyi.

Let’s play a game!

If M and I manage to pull this off, we all can play a game called “Where in the world is The Pug?!”

If M and I manage to actually get our butts in gear and hit the road, then early Wednesday morning, we can start the game. As we take a several-day road trip (plus 2 weeks at our destination) I’ll upload pix from my camera phone (as usual) and then you try to guess where in the world we are! Hint: it’ll be somewhere along the east coast of North America. I’ll try to take pix of him in front of places that give a hint – or signs, if there is nothing notable.

Because blogger has MISTAKENLY labeled The Pug’s Blog as a spam blog, I won’t be able to post images there (because I have to do a “type the letters in this image” thing to post now and I can’t “type this image” if all I’m doing is sending a camera phone picture from my phone via email). So I’ll post the images at flickr.

Open letter to Starbucks: I am boycotting starbucks until either you tell all stores to STOP playing that GAWD AAWFUL “it aint over till the fat lady sings” christmas music… or until Christmas Music Season is over! AAACK!!!

This is old news. But I only heard about it tonight. I once saw this book in the bookstore, and it’s one of the few I ever actually finished (I have this problem where I rarely actually finish a book).
As Nature Made Him: the boy who was raised as a girl

I read, and finished the book a while ago. Then I gave the book to my mother in law. Then M and I saw a documentary about the family on PBS (I think). Tonight I saw a similar documentary coming up so I Tivo’ed it and just watched it now.

Turns out the guy’s twin brother died of an overdose, they are not sure if he did it on purpose or not, and then shortly afterward, “David” killed himself. I feel like I knew him because I knew his story so well and his story was one of the few books I ever actually read cover to cover. It’s so sad to hear about this! This documentary is dated “2005″ but David died in 2004.

It’s just really sad.

I can hardly stand it!!! Am I the only one who sees all the TERRIBLE bad edits in the tv show LOST??? One time I saw a sailboat in the distance as the characters sat complaining about needing to be rescued, I’m always seeing more subtle bad edits, and then just now I saw the horse trainer’s hand when they cut to the horse standing in the jungle!!! DOESN’T ANYBODY PROOF THIS STUFF???????????????????????

I finally got my grubby paws on some Pumpkin Spice flavored Coffee Mate about two days ago. I had mentioned previously that I put in a special order (at my local grocery store [Publix]) but when it came in all they did was call me to let me know it had arrived, i.e. they did not set any aside for me- I guess because it’s refrigerated.

I was just saying to somebody via email that I did recently see some of the other holiday flavors in powder form (Gingerbread, I think) as well as the refrigerated form, so be sure to check both aisles when you are shopping. Also, since there is a powdered form of some of the holiday flavors, maybe you can find it online somewhere.
