More flickr coincidences:

One of many examples: A guy takes a photo of half a rainbow, then later while surfing flickr, finds someone who took a photo of the other half of the exact same rainbow!
This is old news to flickrites, but there are some neat coincidences on flickr, check out this thread:

From the thread: quote:
“Wait. Let me get this straight.
A guy from Scotland goes 5490 miles to Tokyo and takes a picture of a girl taking a picture. She turns out to be from England, 413 miles away from him.
Impressive, but not all that weird.
UNTIL!
He posts the picture he took on a Website (in Canada, irrelevantly) and within 6 weeks the girl in the photo finds it?
That is truly amazing. I am deeply impressed. Any one care to calculate the odds?”
Another neat Flickr meme:
“Desktop Show And Tell”

Wow, this is wild. I use Flickr and I really love it. Flickr has inspired all kinds of communities and tag-related groups. The newest thing is the “transparent desktop” thingy, where people take a photo of their desktop, make it the wallpaper on their computer, and try to match it up to the real background, making the monitor appear transparent. Lots of people are trying their hands at it, check it out:

This has also been mentioned on SlashDot.

Oh, THIS is cool!
Thanks to Chandra’s Realm for pointing out this site:
” It all began innocently enough when a user on an Apple help web site posted a picture of his cat, Frankie, contemplating the beauty of a flower. Shortly afterwards another user posted a picture of his cat bristling at the image of Frankie on the monitor. I decided this was too much fun and advanced the concept as The Infinite Cat Project which is, simply, cats regarding cats regarding cats in an electronic melieu. “
MUST check this out, it’s really neat!

M found this kinda wild video of a neat shirt folding technique.

M got me a pressure washer a month ago or so. We finally got to play w/ it this weekend, boy are they fun! That green mildew that was growing on the sidewalk out front (gotta love the hot, humid south!) was gone as though the device was a magic wand. All kinds of dirt and marks and dead bugs on the front of the house, frog poop, you name it, GONE! M and I were kinda fighting over it like kids, we both wanted to play with it so badly. We got it at Home Depot and it’s a no-name brand I guess (couldn’t find a brand name on the box), but it looks similar to this one (above) and works great.
