UPDATE 6-5-03: Fotolog.net only lets you upload 1 photo a day now, so I no longer recommend them.

Yesterday I was driving down the road and saw two Sandhill Cranes w/ their babies. Luckily I usually carry my Canon D60 everywhere I go, so I pulled over and got some shots. .:PHOTOS:.

I went thru my recent Canon D60 pix and put them online.

I took, of course, more flower pictures. I’m almost sick of flower pictures. But there are alot of nice flowering trees in bloom right now around here. Also, I can’t help taking pictures of colorful wildlife. I need to step back and think about what else I can take pictures of. .:PHOTOS:.

In another folder I have photos of a Woodstork that I saw yesterday. Woodstorks aren’t that pretty to look at except when they are in flight. One of the pictures he has a fish in his mouth, but when the photo was reduced for the web, it became impossible to see. .:PHOTOS:.

The last folder was put online mainly for a few folks who just love our new kitty Crystal (and other cat lovers). .:PHOTOS:.

I just love my D60. If the house were on fire, that’d be one of those things I grab (besides the obvious family, pets, and family photos).

I’m trying to go thru my recent Canon D60 shots, but Bertha (my laptop, “big bertha”) keeps blue-screening on me whenever I load Photoshop 7. I could re-boot but I’m in the middle of several things and if I shut down, I’m goin’ to lunch! I got some more flower shots… and some GREAT shots of a Woodstork in flight. I’ll get to it later. Crap, I have to get moving!

Alright, this is new to me. I rolled out the new version of my blog (the Moveable Type version). I am supposed to be writing this post in a FORM whereas before I was writing my post in Dreamweaver so that all around me I could see the layout of my site. I felt very creative doing it that way. As I’d type my eyes would wander the page, I’d see a list of links I’d want to add to, I’d decide to change the color of something, I’d see a photo that I posted before and decide what photo to post next. Now all I see is a white and grey page with a form on it, and in this form field I type my post. I’m not sure I like this. “Then why don’t you stop using it and shut up!?” Because once the initial rollover is done, it’ll archive for me, ping the directories for me, allow comments, etc. I just hope that in the end I’ll be happy w/ this. I think what I’ll do is post in an html file in Dreamweaver first, so that I can save it as I go, and then I’ll have context – highlighting, drag-n-drop image insertion, etc. I’ll just alt+tab to my blog for inspiration as I go.

I’m happy w/ my new design. The general layout (where things are) is the same as before, but instead of a table and columns, I’m using a stylesheet that I got from CSS Colouring Book.

I’m afraid I don’t have much to say today. I’ve been sick w/ some kind of bronchitis type of thing and so have mainly just sat on the couch surfing and wrestling w/ Moveable Type.
