My Friday

Sunday, January 14th, 2007

We had an investigation Friday night (I’m in a Gh0st Hunting group) (no, really) and that went pretty late and then we all decided to go to breakfast afterwards. I didn’t even get home until 4am. :)

Then I stayed up even later to do my nails cuz they were too long and one was hurting real bad from banging it constantly. I went to bed about 5:30am. I slept till… 2:30? 3:30? I can’t remember. (pm)

M. is sick w/ a bad cold. He got it from me. I feel bad. He slept all day, got up and went back to bed. I ran errands. Went for sushi, visited my mom, got Riley Pug some presents at Petco.

Not much exciting going on.

This weekend

Friday, February 25th, 2005

Tomorrow is the Festival Of India again. We go each year. Tomorrow though, it’s supposed to rain quite a bit, so I don’t know how it’ll go. I know I won’t be sitting on the ground to take photos this time, and if it’s deathly humid I won’t want to be there long.

Usually when I go I take SO MANY photos that I actually get too overwhelmed sorting them to pick a selection to put online.

Then Sunday afternoon I go w/ a girlfriend to see the Phantom Of The Opera broadway play.

My day

Sunday, February 13th, 2005

Today: Saturday:

Sleep in a bit, in the guest bedroom, alone, to get away from snoring M (love ya tho!), coughing dog, etc.

M comes home from vet w/ Nicky. Poor guy has terrible pneumonia. We are very worried. I hope he makes it. The vet is quite concerned. :(

Give Riley a bath, use the shedding blade on him, clip his nails, clip one too short, deal w/ blood.

Go to local deli, then go to insanely heaven on a stick good chocolate factory w/ M and mom for decadent chocloate heaven.

Go to New Blance store to get M new sneakers and me new socks.
Go to Hobby Store which for whatever reason is patronized and staffed mainly by rednecks (“not that there’s anything wrong with that”). M gets RC Plane.

Go to Petsmart to return food bowl I didn’t need, get styptic powder for next time I over-clip a dog’s claw. Consider getting a dremel for next time.

Go to Dairy Queen. Go home. Love up animals and watch “Boat Trip” on satellite. (Watched “Shaun of the Dead” last night again, this time so M could see it.)

Went to Office Depot for the “Laserone is not complete without a box of these pens in the house” pens. Went to PetLand for Riley’s food. Went to Thai resaurant. Bit my cheek for the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th time in two days during Thai dinner. Bled.

Went to Walgreens to find something the bring down the swelling in my mouth. No dice. Just a numbing agent.

Came home.

Surfed.

Still surfing.

Sunday

Sunday, February 6th, 2005

Got up. Today is M’s birthday. Went to breakfast w/ M and Mom. Went to CompUSA. Went to Barnes and Noble. Went to car wash, line was too long so we went home. I took a nap while M washed the cars (I felt like death warmed over after having stayed up ’till 4:30am and getting only 6 hours of sleep). Got up. Superbowl is on. I’m on the puter. M made homemade pizza, YUM! Here I am. Yay. So for M’s birthday I got homemade pizza and a free car wash. LOL. :)

My Day

Saturday, February 5th, 2005

Went to a Pug Meetup today and got lost trying to find the place. More about my day here on this post from Riley’s Blog.

After all that: nap, housework, surf, dinner, grocery store, dog walk, bookstore.

Jesus Freak

Tuesday, October 19th, 2004

This Jesus Freak was hanging around Subway, when I went in he was harassing people in line and I guess the staff had just told him to leave and on his way out he looked at me like he wanted to eat me (or convert me) but he reluctantly walked out. He stood outside talking to himself, and motioning w/ his arms. And whenever someone walked by he’d start talking to them about Jesus, but he was psycho, not just “a christian”. At one point he came back in and approached this table of four and said “can I tell you how Jesus changed my life?” and they all just got up and left (he had seen that they were ready to leave). The staffers kept going by the door pretending to be windexing tables and he’d move away. But then he’d come back when the staff went back behind the counter. He’d stare in the windows at us and wait for people to come out. This one couple was waiting for him to turn his back and when he did turn his back and walk a little away, the one says to the other “now RUN before he sees us!” and in one fell swoop they dumped their tray stuff in the garabge and FLEW out the door, it was hilarious! The guy turned around real quick but was obviously upset that he missed yet more victims. He was gone by the time I left, thank god cuz i was in NO mood for that kinda crap. My game plan was to SCREAM in his face something like BACK OFF MAN! or something, make a total scene. I was just not in the mood for it. Lucky for him he mosied off before I was done eating! >:{

Hit and run

Sunday, August 1st, 2004

Lazy day. It’s been raining all day, which is unusual for this area. Went to lunch w/ mom, shopped, came home, napped, went for a late dinner, went to Wal Mart (even though I want to boycott them). Then was at a green light and watched a guy completely RUN the red light and hit the guy in the next lane from us at the green light. The guy who ran the red light did a 360 in the wet intersection, and when he came to a stop, just drove away. We were heading straight but decided to turn and try to get the guy’s plate number. We got the first half, as the second half was obscured by a lightbulb hanging down. The had to know we were following him. He slowed down and turned down a side street, but we called the police w/ the info that we had, the description and location of the car, etc. We stopped back at the scene on the way home to tell the guy who was hit that we got the info and called it in. I hope they catch that asshole. I love when people get what they deserve.

Friday

Friday, July 30th, 2004

Nice drive in to town. Went to dreamy Swiss Chalet. Went to hotel, sat in parking lot for a year, went in to find that SOMEBODY made a reservation for the wrong month, and since nothing is ever simple, we had to CALL and 800 # to change the reservation because god forbid we just check in since we were, you know, STANDING AT A CHECK IN COUNTER! Because of this fiasco we were almost late to the concert. As we crawled over people to get to our seats, the pre-must was starting, so it was weird because we had like no time to get psyched up. Walk in, find seat, Geddy Lee gets on stage. I’m glad we weren’t late tho. Show was GREAT. I love love love Geddy Lee. Boy are they getting old. Geddy doesn’t look it, but the other two guys do. Then on the way home, and the hotel was probably a freaking hour away from the hotel (!), they took the four lane freeway down to ONE lane for construction, which in turn caused an accident, and it took an HOUR to go TWO miles. So it took forever to get back to the hotel.

OH, and what REALLY made me mad was the tickets said NO CAMERAS and
also said (on the wesite i think) that there was no way to “check
items” so it was implied that if they saw a camera on you or in your
purse (they look) they’d take it away, so I took the
pencam, but YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN all the “real” digital cameras there
with zoom and lcd screens! They weren’t confiscated, and security
said NOTHING to them, AND security was eyeballing us closely during
the whole concert. Makes me SO MAD cuz if I had been as bold as them
I’d have some AMAZING shots w/ the huge zoom on my fz1!!! What I coulda done with 12x optical zoom as close as we were! Grrrrr.

We were in row 15 I think, but since we were to the side, there was only 5 rows in front of us. So it was a very close sideways view, and when they came to our side of the stage it was a true 5th row view.

Lots of stoners. This bitch in front of us spent the whole concert yelling in her boyfriends ear instead of watching the damn concert and TALKING on a cell phone! Not just calling a friend and holding the phone up to the stage, like alot did, but TALKING, no yelling into the phone. She must have been stoned.

Tired, tried to sleep in, housekeeping woke us, and then I found that the damned in-room coffee was decaf. What sadists!!!!

We got “continental breakfast” caffeine coffee, and are going to do some shopping at the mile-long mall before heading home.

Wheeeee!

I’ll post a photo later, the photos didn’t turn out that great w/ the pencam. I thought they would, since I was closer to the stage than the last concert where I used the lower-res camera-phone, but the pictures really suck.

Nothing new

Wednesday, July 28th, 2004

What’s new…

Friday night went for chiiiiineeeese. Was going to see the Screaming Orphans at the irish pub but it was SO BUSY you could not even park, so we’ll try to catch them next month.

Saturday… can’t remember, maybe went shopping or something, but I ran laser shows at the planetarium Saturday and Sunday night. Two of my friends showed up for the Saturday night laser show then we all went out for a bite afterwards.

It’s been rainy.

Had to meet a client this morning early, in the next town, and early is a bad word for me, since I’m a night-owl. I went to bed “early” (early for me) and laid awake, and then when I got up felt like death warmed over.

Took TWO naps today.

Prisoner of UPS

Friday, July 23rd, 2004

Today I am a prisoner of UPS. My ipod mini FINALLY shipped after three months and sixteen days, and of course it’s coming the dreaded UPS, AND on a Friday. This means that if I miss UPS, I have to wait for them to attempt redelivery on Monday, and then only after that on Tuesday can I go clear to the other side of town, down a nasty road which has given M more than one nail in the tire, to the dingy, hot UPS warehouse to stand in line for more than half an hour to get my damned mini which I’ve already been waiting over three months for.

So I get up at the crack of dawn to be sure I am by the door lest I miss it. I can’t go anywhere. I’m a prisoner of UPS.

When I DO this, they come like 7:55pm and leave it on the doorstep. When I say “F*ck UPS, I’m going for sushi!“, they come at 1pm and put a note on the door saying they need a signature and they’ll come back on Monday, then the whole thing repeats again and I have to go thru the whole long drive nail in the tire stand in non air conditioned dingy dirty ups office thing on Tuesday.

Fun.

UPDATE: Yeahhhup. It came after 5, left on the doorstep unceremoniously. I really thought they’d have had a camera crew and a guy dressed up in a King outfit to hand me the long-awaited high in demand back-ordered gem. But no, a ring, a knock, and the sound of a UPS truck starting up. That’s fine. But if only I had known that I coulda been out doing stuff instead of trapped in my house. But… I GOT IT! It’s here! YAY!
UPDATE 2: Let’s see, it took a total of 3 months and 18 days from the day I ordered it for it to show up on my doorstep.

Friday night

Sunday, July 18th, 2004

Tonite was fun. I thought tonight was laser show night, but I was wrong, so we hooked up w/ some friends at this kinda weird gambling place, it was sorta fun, something to do in this backward old fart town.

Then we went to Blue Sushi which was HOPPING! Loud, crowded, and killer sushi. So good.

After that we were gonna go to the Irish Pub and get some dark beer but decided to go home and do our thang… surf, read, watch tv, play with cats.

We are nerds.

Today

Wednesday, July 14th, 2004

Filling out passport application today, whee fun. Going downtown to apply for passport. Maybe I can hit that really good sushi place down there. I have not had sushi in like a week and I’m going thru withdrawl.

Home

Sunday, July 11th, 2004

I get home and there is no internet. So I’m writing this in wordpad for now. There were some bad storms here today before we got home, so the dsl model or wireless hub must need to be reset. As I write this, let’s just say that I’m not in a position to walk over there and reset them. (tiny laptop, wifi, you figure it out.)

Nice to be home. But every time I get home from a road trip, or whenever company leaves, it’s always a let-down. Like, you’re used to all this social stimulation, then next thing you know you’re alone w/ your cats.

I really enjoyed the road trip. It was good to see M’s friends. It was good to get out of town and have a change of scene. M’s friends have a baby now, and that is something I don’t think I’ll ever get used to: my friends having kids.

It was hot, hotter than hell. It’s nicer on that coast than where we live. For one thing we’re a bit inland so we don’t get the sea breeze. For another, it’s the Gulf on our side, so you never really do get a real big nice sea breeze. They were on vacation so they were at the beach and pool all day, and when they saw us they’re like “what are you doing in a sweatshirt?”. (It’s wasn’t a sweatshirt, it was a hoddie of t-shirt material, but anyway…) and I’m like “Don’t you know that you’re supposed to come to Florida and stay in air conditioning all day???” They thought I was kidding, but I wasn’t. I don’t do pools, beaches, boats, or anything else that puts me in either heat or sun.

I’m burnt-out tired. Friday night we were supposed to go to bed early, but there was a wild fire, so the guy who was on call was evacuated from his house. So M had to be on call instead. But since we were going out of town, M had to get my teeny laptop working so that it connected to the net through my cell phone using bluetooth, and using the cell phone’s gprs. I’ve been wanting to get that working, and I’M SO GLAD it is now. But poor M was up until 4am trying to get it to work, when we had to get going early for our trip.

Then in the morning, it was hard to get up, and then, being on call, a client called and M had to spend some time on the computer and phone instead of getting ready. So we did not get to our destination until later.

But it was still good to get out, get a change of scene. I’m BEAT though. Yesterday I was so tired I was dizzy, and then when I went to bed, I was too tired to sleep. I layed awake for an hour. I hate that, and it’s happening more and more.

Nice to be home and get some snugglies from my kitties. :D

On road trip

Sunday, July 11th, 2004

Greetings from Ft. Lauderdale. We’re on our road trip. Came to see friends. Got this killer hotel room suite w/ broadband, video games, and a kitchen. Tired as sh*t, feel like death warmed over. Must hurry to get ready before checkout. Bye. See moblog for peeks into my weekend.

Feel like screaming

Thursday, July 8th, 2004

It’s been one of those days, weeks, months, years.

I’m trying to move my business away from web design and toward pro photography. It’s a slow process, and while things are slow, I’m going out of my mind.

I hate being idle. And since I’m not busy I feel obligated to do all the housework while M is at work and I HATE THAT. I am no June Cleaver and don’t want to be.

On top of that, I set my mind to DOING the June Cleaver shit today and lo and behold, the dryer has decided to stop working so I sit and sit and sit and sit only to go unload the dryer and find it full of wet clothes.

It’s not enough that I’M TRYING to be productive! NoooOOOOooo.

I hate being idle. It’s not enough for me to have hobbies and projects and books to read. I need to be DOING something constructive, I need to be working. If I ever won the lottery I’d go nuts, I’d still have to work. I can’t stand being unproductive.

I’d go back to school but that was the worst nightmare of my life and anyway it’d get in the way of my business transition.

I’d go get a job but it’s hard to find good jobs in this town (M was lucky) and I don’t know if I can stomach reatil again. I did it for years. I’m sure I could find one, but I’d need part time so that I could still grow my business, and the “good” jobs are full time and require wardrobes. I need a jeans-and-polo-shirt kind of job, that’s part time. It’s a pipe dream.

I am angry today. Angry that I have nothing productive to do. Angry that I can’t even get the f*cking laundry done. It’s like a sick joke.

Calmer.
Still bummed out.
Wasted my day, slept most of it, read.
Too sore for the gym.
Went to Linux meetup.com meetup. Fun. Except food caused major, uh, digestive problems.
Once again, it’s late, I’m tired, and I don’t want to go to bed. I just… my brain is a tornado. Too many thoughts.
*sigh*

The 4th

Sunday, July 4th, 2004

Happy 4th of July! I’m not a big fan of the 4th. It’s always hot, and I hate crowds and I hate traffic. So I’ll probably stay home. We may go get some lite hot dogs and grill them out. Yay. Lite hot dogs. Thrilling. But we’re on a diet. Yay. Probably clean the house and catch up on some reading. Or play Scrabble.

Our house in the middle of the street.

Sunday, June 27th, 2004

Don’t ask me what I’m doing up at 4:37am. Just being a child. I’m not tired, so I’m still up playing w/ my toys and watching tv.

Ever wonder what goes on in our house in the middle of the night?

C’mon over. We’re just stayin’ up late doing our thing. You could stop by and hang w/ us, have a snack and a chat. We’ll leave a light on for ya.

Wednesday

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2004

Not much to say today. Haven’t downloaded any new pix from the camera yet. My cold seems to be coming BACK! (!) This sux.

Today is an anniversary for M and me.

Piano lessons tonite, then a nice dinner.

I overslept today, this damn bug I have is killing me. I didn’t get to the gym. All I could do was get to the drugstore for more cold medicine.

I just want to go to bed. :(

Today is Tuesday

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2004

Tuesday.

Gym two days in a row, yay.

Hot out.

Brought two cams w/ me today but had bad BAD digestive problems and had to come straight home without doing any photograhpy.

My new “2004 Stanley Cup Champoins Tampa Bay Lightning” t-shirt came yesterday.

Still addicted to Scrabble. Still suck at it. It’s amazing the more people you mention it to, the more people come out of the woodword as fellow addicts.
Reading twelve books at once as usual, but mostly reading “Word Freak: Heartbreak, Triumph, Genius, and Obsession in the World of Competitive Scrabble Players

Still sneezing, still dealing w/ runny nose. Now M has the cold too. I’m mostly over it, but still dealing w/ sinus issues. Worst part of this bug is it TOTALLY saps your energy. Doing weights at the gym is helping get my energy back.

Want to take road trip, to get a change of scene, to go photo-ing in a different area. I’d like to go to Gainesville, haven’t been there in a while. Show M the UofF campus, go to some parks w/ the camera, etc.

I like presents.

I am very upset over what our government is doing around the world. I don’t blame the world for hating us. But I don’t agree w/ what is going on either, so don’t hate ME, although I know that just because I am an American, I am hated. I wanted to travel to Europe this year, but I’m sure that if I do now, I’ll feel the hate.

I’m melting!

Friday, June 18th, 2004

Oh my god. I feel like I’m going to die. IT IS SO F*CKING HOT OUT! Temperture in the 90’s, hummidity is god-knows-what, sweating like a freaking PIG. Ok, news at noon said humidity was 56%, but it feels like 99%. They also said that w/ the humidity, it “feels like 96″. F*ck that, it feels like 110. If I forget sunscreen (as I did yesterday) I can bear the heat better, but later on my skin is red and hot and let’s not even TALK about skin cancer. But if I DO wear sunscreen, I’m 3 times as hot as if I didn’t have it on. You need sweatproof or you might as well not wear any at all cuz it’ll sweat off before you even get in your car. But the sweatproof stuff acts like a saran-wrap coating on a hot summer’s day in Florida. I’ve GOT to get out of the south!

Nothing good to say

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2004

Don’t ask what’s wrong w/ me cuz I don’t know. All I want to do is sleep or lay around. I have NO energy and my allergies have been killing me. It’s like having a bad cold 24/7. I have not been surfing much, I’m in an internet-rut. I check the same sites every day (mostly message boards), so I’m not finding new sites, so I’ve nothing to link you guys to. I have work to do and can’t seem to get motivated. I have piano to practice but I can’t seem to do that either. I hate the songs they make me learn, they’re childish and stupid, so it’s hard to want to sit down and practice. Saturday was shopping. Sunday was a birthday. Monday was a holiday and bbq.

I’ve become a total scrabble addict, but I totally suck at it. I have NEVER won a game (except when playing against the computer in novice-mode w/ a Scrabble Dictionary in my hand). I hate when I can’t beat something, it makes me feel stupid and I HATE that feeling. Want to beat my *ss online? E me or msg me and we’ll play Literati on Yahoo (Yahoo’s version of Scrabble).

I lost my bookmarks a few days ago and had no recent backup so I lost all bookmarks from the last few months and now I can’t find the website that I got all these ideas from for my new project. Crap!

My favorite Thai restaurant is literally giving me a hard time cuz I always order the same thing, (“you must order something else!“) but I’ve TRIED other things and I go there when I want THAT dish. They should just be glad to have my very frequent business. On the other hand, the last time we went there was hair in the food (three hairs) so I doubt we’ll be going back at all. Between that and the suspicious waiter, the weird smell when you walk in, and the careless complaining about my order thinking I don’t know they are talking about me (in addition to confronting me), I doubt I’ll go back. It’s ashame cuz (hair aside) they have the BEST Thai food.

I woke up exhausted. All I did all night was have nightmares. Also w/ these allergies I don’t breathe well when I sleep, so I’m probably oxygen-deprived as well.

Sorry I don’t have anything postive to say.

Nothing to say

Tuesday, May 25th, 2004

I keep forgetting to go out and take my Daily Shot for my My Backyard photoblog. I’m anxious to get going in the morning, and when I get back I’m either distracted or tired or both.

I’m tired and cranky. My shoulder hurts for no reason, except M’s shoulder hurts real bad from the gym, so maybe it’s sympathy pains.

Today is Friday

Friday, May 21st, 2004

I hate thinking up subject lines.
Went for sushi.
Went to camera store.
Went to local mall to take pix and meet Mom.
Checked out the new Fresh Market.
Weather is getting HOT. Not happy about that.
Added pix to website (as u can see in the last 2 posts).
Also added another daily shot to my “My Backyard” photoblog.
Now I think I’ll go download some video from my new video cam (oh yeah, btw I got a nice new video cam.) Seems all I do in my spare time is work on the computer.

Week is just getting worse

Thursday, May 20th, 2004

Mother of god. My nerves are shot. I just got home. I got pulled over by a cop just after entering my subdivision. I was pulled over cuz he thought I was driving too close to a dump truck. It had nothing to do w/ speeding or anything else. He did not give me a ticket. He did not give me a written warning. Nothing. He let me go. We talked and he let me go. My driving record continues to be perfectly clean. I should feel lucky.

Here’s the thing: Many cars (i.e. neighbors) slowed down REAL slow to take a good look at me, to see who got pulled over (it’s a small neighborhood within a larger planned community). It was so obvious that even the cop said to me “do you know those people? What is THEIR problem?” and he pulls people over every day. Not only that, but when I went to pull away, I realized that a mini-van had pulled over behind the cop to watch the whole thing. Stupid nosy *ssholes!

Now, one of the reasons this really has me upset is because we already have people in this neighborhood who are complaining about speeders in our neighborhood because their kids play in the streets, etc. First of all, they think that people who are going the speed limit are speeding. Also, they don’t teach their kids to mind cars, they refuse to get out of the street when a car goes by. One time a kid, get this, LAID DOWN in the street right in front of M’s car while driving down the street! They run in front of cars, or if they’re on their bikes they’ll stop right in the middle of the road and stare at you. The parents aren’t TEACHING them HOW to play in the street. We played in the streets all the time growing up, but we MOVED for cars when they came and constantly watched for them.

I’m afraid that neighbors will start saying “See? The speeding is so bad they’re getting pulled over now” or god forbid: “Even a board member got pulled over!” (I am on the board of directors for our neighborhood.)

This whole thing has me upset. And the cop kept saying stuff like “If that school bus had had it’s red lights on when you turned, that’d be ANOTHER ticket which would bring you up to X number of points which is one point away from losing your license, and you have a totally clean record.” It was SO hard NOT to say: “Well, the school bus was a quarter mile away and his red lights WERE NOT ON so it’s F*CKING IRRELEVANT, NOW, ISN’T IT!?!?!?!?” I mean, was it REALLY necessary to dangle that over my head when it was something that I DIDN’T even do???

I wish I had a punching bag. I need to hit something.

Monday

Tuesday, May 18th, 2004

Here I am again, up late, tired.
Biked today, got some exercise.
Keep getting too much sun (skin red, not quite sun burn) in spite of 50spf sunscreen.
I hate this state.
McDonalds Adult “Go Active” Happy Meals are kinda cool: free pedometer and the grilled chicken Bacon Ranch salad is really good.
Not been surfing much the last few days, so no links for you!
Was just thinking about how much of my photography is sitting in folders on my hard drive unsorted. If I sat and went thru them I could share more of them online.
Friend may come by tomorrow night, means I have to clean house. Shit.
Hershey’s Caramel-filled Kisses are crack.
Rainy season is starting: hot, humid, hot, humid, and rains ever single day in the afternoon. Every day.

Random thoughts

Thursday, May 13th, 2004

Late.

Why don’t I go to bed.

Cat hair everywhere.

Miss my brother. :..(

Sad.

Mad at self for not sticking to diet.

Biked an hour today. Thai for dinner. Piano lessons.

Every time I sleep, whether a nap, a quick doze, or a night’s sleep, I dream SO vividly. I have weird dreams, all very vivid. I swear sometimes I wake up worn out from dreaming.

I want to paint a room this weekend. We have such a nice house, we ought to clean the damn clutter and make the rooms nice. Lazy.

Ow

Sunday, May 9th, 2004

My ass is sore. We biked for two and a half hours. Thank god it’s not summer in the south yet. I’d be sick in bed if it was. I’m heat intolerant. But today was nice and the only side effect is my skin feels sunburned (but it’s not, weird) and a sore ass.

Then took a nap as freaking telemarketers made sure I only got 5 hours of sleep last night.

After that we went for Thai food and then to the bookstore.

Oh, we put in the DVD “Anger Management” and turned it off after probably less than 30 minutes. Who can sit thru a 2 hour movie of scene after scene of a person being persecuted for something he didn’t do? For being calm? For doing nothing wrong? A string of impossible situations and unrealistic plots. Stupid. Farts. Slapstick. Stupid. Stupid Americans love this shit.

(Update: No offense if you are american and liked the movie. I’m not saying that you are stupid. I’m just saying that american comedy is getting less and less sophisticated and one does not need to be cultured or educated to “get” today’s american comedy.)

Speaking of stupid americans…

I’m ashamed to be an American right now. I’m AFRAID of being an American right now. What we are doing- what our president is doing in Iraq, is going to cause US to get hurt. Does he really think that people won’t retaliate? I am so afraid that are going to be victims of more and worse terrorism. M and I were going to travel to Europe sometime soon and now I’m scared to death to go. More and more people all over the world are becoming american-haters because of what Bush is doing. I didn’t vote for him. I don’t support what he’s doing. But I’m hated, I will be hated if I travel outside of the US. I may be hurt or killed by terrorists on my own soil. No, I’m not falling for the stupid F-U-D that the press and govt’ is spreading with it’s “terror alerts”. No. I’m just saying that Bush and our army is doing BAD stuff and logic says that people will retaliate and I’m worried about being an American now. Thanks alot, Bush.

Monday, May 3rd, 2004

Weird. It’s been like two days since I’ve really been on the computer. Not sure why. M’s had a cold and Sunday we sat in the dark all day watching movies and Tivo. Then today I slept in and didn’t do much and fell asleep on the couch. It’s been raining too. Yesterday the only time I checked email was on my Clie waiting for breakfast at 4pm.

I’ve watched Kal Ho Naa Ho twice now, I bought the DVD at the recent Festival of India. If you like a good romance flick, check it out. It’s LONG, has subtitles, but is well done. The second half of the movie I have to have a box of Kleenex w/ me. It’s like the movie takes your heart and wrings it out w/ two hands.
